Converted from calvinism to catholicism in 1603, engaged in disputes with calvinists and other adherents of reformation. Was against the religious diversity in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, opposed voluntarism.

The author demonstrates his vast erudition by quoting Plautus, Horatius, Augustine, Tertulianus, Epicurus, Ovidius, M. Luther, J. Calvin etc. The author presents some of his ethical and esthetical views.
